President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in Rome met with the head of the Council of Ministers of Italy Giorgia Meloni.
The head of state presented the Ukrainian plan for victory. The parties discussed in detail all aspects of this document and agreed to work at the team level in order to create conditions for peace as quickly as possible. The press service of the President’s Office reported this.
Particular attention was paid to the economic point of the victory plan – to special economic opportunities in Ukraine and critical resources that definitely should not fall under Russian control.
The purpose of our support is to put Ukraine in the best conditions to come to the peace negotiating table. Peace, as I have said many times, cannot mean capitulation, as many cowardly suggest,” Maloney said.
They also discussed preparations for the European Council meeting and decisions on Russian assets, the development of the global situation and immediate political prospects in partner countries.
Zelensky told the Italian prime minister about the situation at the front and the general situation in the war. The leaders discussed the preparation of a new support package.
