Radoslaw Sikorski said these terminals will be “exclusively financed by Poland.”
Starlink terminals for Ukraine are exclusively and continuously financed by Poland, and not by Elon Musk. This is what Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said at a press conference on Thursday, Polish Radio reports.
Answering a question about Poland’s position on the postponed meeting in the Ramstein format, the head of Polish diplomacy said that at this meeting we are talking about practical military assistance to Ukraine. Therefore, according to the plan, the heads of government of the countries supporting Ukraine, and not heads of state, should meet in Ramstein.
“That is why we have prepared a position for President Duda, so that he can speak not only for himself, but also on behalf of the Polish state – about what we have already done for Ukraine and whether what do we plan to do next,” added Sikorski.
The head of the Polish Foreign Ministry mentioned a specific provision embedded in this position of Poland. According to him, it mentions that one of the main factors that allows Ukrainians to continue to effectively protect themselves from the Russians is connecting to the Internet through Starlink terminals.
“These Starlink terminals, which are used in Ukraine, are not sponsored by Mr. Elon Musk, but will be financed and financed only by Poland,” said Sikorsky.
As already written, the Czech Ministry of Defense will study the experience of Poland in creating a legion of volunteers from Ukrainians.
