The aggressor sees these statements as a sign of weakness and gives him unjustified hope for the success of the attack, the department notes.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs denied information from foreign media about Ukraine’s alleged “readiness to make territorial concessions to Russia.” Such concessions are unacceptable, reports the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
“Such statements are only seen by the aggressor as a sign of weakness, giving him unjustified hope for the success of the attack and the effectiveness of his ultimatums and blackmail,” the message said.
The only realistic path to restoring a comprehensive, just and sustainable peace for Ukraine is and remains a peace formula based on respect for the UN Charter and the need to fully restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine within the internationally recognized boundaries.
The department recalled that the preparatory process for the second Peace Summit is now underway, and thematic meetings have already taken place on the points of the peace formula on energy and food security, as well as the restoration of justice.
“The victory plan presented by President Vladimir Zelensky to Ukraine’s partners is not a substitute for the formula, but a practical tool for its implementation,” added the Foreign Ministry.
The ministry stressed that the principle of “no agreements with Ukraine without Ukraine” and the need to respect international law and the UN Charter remain mandatory and unchanged. Ukraine will not accept any initiatives that violate them.
“We call on all states and international organizations, all leaders, politicians and public figures who respect the UN Charter, international law and the value of human life, to join efforts to restore a true sustainable and just world, and not feed the illusions and appetites of the aggressor,” added the Foreign Ministry.
We remind you that President Vladimir Zelensky said that Ukraine does not consider the possibility of a ceasefire in exchange for guarantees from the Western alliance.
Earlier, the Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office, Mikhail Podolyak, said that there are no concepts of “territory in exchange for security guarantees” or other “bargain formats” to end Russia’s war against Ukraine .
