The heating season in Kyiv will begin on Monday, October 14.
First, heat will be supplied to hospitals, schools, kindergartens and other social institutions in the capital. It will be connected upon individual requests from the heads of these institutions, taking into account the functional specifics. The mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko announced this on October 10 in Telegram.
As for residential buildings, they will be connected to heat when the average daily temperature drops to 8° above zero within three days and the cooling trend continues.
Klitschko noted that the decision to start the heating season was made taking into account the factors of ensuring comfort for citizens, rational use of energy resources and economical consumption of electricity.
Let us remind you that on August 23, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided to extend the special preferential gas price for heat producers and household consumers. This decision will be valid until April 30, 2025, that is, until the end of the next heating season.
