The evacuation of the Donetsk region has not stopped since the beginning of Russia’s all-out invasion of Ukraine.
There are still 616 children in settlements that are part of the zone of active conflict in the Donetsk region. This was announced on Wednesday, October 9, by the head of the department of operation of the emergency service, communication, warning and informing the population of the department for civil protection, mobilization and defense work of Donetsk OV Dmitry Petlin, reports Ukrinform.
He clarified that there are 43,409 people in the communities included in the zone of active hostilities.
“In Donbass there are 18 communities where settlements that are part of the zone of active conflict are located. These are Bakhmutskaya, Soledarskaya, Severskaya, Chasovoyarskaya, Zvanovskaya, Toretskaya. In the Kramatorsk region – Ilyinovskaya, Konstantinovskaya, Limanskaya. In Pokrovsky – Grodov, Maryinskaya, Mirnogradskaya, Novgrodovskaya, Ocheretinskaya, Selidovskaya in Volnovakha district there are settlements of Ugledarskaya and Novoselkovskaya, “he said.
At the same time, Patlin emphasized that the exodus from the region has not stopped since the beginning of Russia’s all-out invasion of Ukraine.
Due to the security situation, a decision was made to forcibly evacuate children and their families from several settlements in the Sumy region.
In Toretsk, Donetsk region, where the territory of the Russian invaders has entered, there are more than a thousand civilians who do not want to leave the city.
