Cases of recording Russian UAVs have increased recently, which may indicate that the Russian Federation is preparing for attacks on Ukrainian nuclear infrastructure.
Two Russian UAVs were spotted near the industrial area of the Pivdennoukrainsk Nuclear Power Plant on the night of October 7. The suicide bombers flew less than 10 km from the nuclear facilities. This was reported by the press service of Energoatom.
It was noted that cases of detection of Russian UAVs have increased recently, which may indicate that the Russian Federation is preparing for attacks on Ukrainian nuclear infrastructure.
In turn, Energoatom provides information about each such fact to relevant institutions for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine to send notes to the International Atomic Energy Agency and inform Ukrainian and international organizations.
“The aggressor country takes these steps, fully aware of the possible consequences. It is nuclear terrorism and threatening the whole world with a radiation accident,” emphasized the head of Energoatom, Petr Kotin.
Let’s recall that the IAEA experts present at the Pivden-Ukrainian nuclear power plant recorded the flight of drones just a few kilometers from the nuclear power plant for three nights a week.
While during the night attack on September 12, a Russian drone flew near the Khmelnitsky nuclear power plant.
Also, during the night attack on September 20, an enemy suicide bomber flew near the Khmelnitsky nuclear power plant.
