A massive Russian assault with armored vehicles was repelled by Ukrainian defenders in the Donbass.
The battle took place in the northern direction in the Donetsk region. The Russians launched an assault from the area of the occupied village of Veseloye and tried to break through the positions of the defense forces. The 10th separate mountain assault brigade “Edelweiss” resisted the enemy. This was reported by the Lugansk operational-tactical group, Militarny reports.
The Russian command sent a large number of infantry and BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicles to the attack. During the battle, the Ukrainian military managed to destroy some of these armored vehicles.
The servicemen said that they managed to inflict significant losses on the invaders. The defenders turned 15 to 25 Russians into 200 cargo, and five pieces of equipment were also destroyed.

The video showed the work of the special forces of the border guards together with units of the Main Intelligence Directorate. After planning the operation, soldiers can be seen storming the captured towers from boats.
