Russian invaders from 19.00 on October 5 to 7.00 on October 6 attacked Ukraine with attack drones and missiles of various types.
This was reported by the press service of the Air Force Command.
In total, the radio engineering troops of the Air Force detected and escorted more than 90 enemy air attack weapons:
- two Iskander-M ballistic missiles;
- one Iskander-K cruise missile;
- one X-59/69 guided aircraft missile;
- 87 Shahed-type UAVs (launch areas: Orel, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Kursk – Russian Federation).
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units and mobile fire groups of the Air Force and the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
As a result:
- During the anti-aircraft battle, two missiles and 56 suicide bombers were shot down in Nikolaev, Odessa, Kiev, Cherkassy, Kirovograd, Dnepropetrovsk, Sumy, Chernihiv, Poltava, Vinnitsa, Khmelnytsky, Zaporozhye, Zhitomir and Kharkov regions.
- 25 drones (as of 09.00) were lost locally in different regions of Ukraine, presumably as a result of active counteraction to electronic warfare. Information is being clarified;
- Four UAVs are still in Ukrainian airspace. Combat work continues.
