On October 6, the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky congratulated the soldiers of the territorial defense on the holiday in social networks.
“From the first days of a massive war, thousands and thousands of TrO soldiers have shown the best features of the Ukrainian character, their courage and devotion to Ukraine Defense of the north: the capital, Chernigov, Sumy. battles in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, in the south of our state,” the Ukrainian leader said.
He emphasized that Ukraine is “everyone’s proud of being truly resilient.”
“Thank you to everyone who destroyed the enemy and won a chance for Ukraine to live. And we honor the memory of all those who fell in the battle for the sake of Ukraine!”
In the welcome publication, the president added a selection of photos of various territorial defense brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Let’s recall that on September 30, 2020, Zelensky signed a decree on the Day of Territorial Defense of Ukraine, which will be celebrated annually on the first Sunday of October.
