The command of the 123rd TRO brigade announced an official investigation into the circumstances of the death of the commander of the 186th battalion, Igor Grib.
The preliminary cause of Grib’s death was determined to be suicide at the checkpoint, according to an internal report on the front. Grib’s battalion carried out combat missions in the Ugledar direction.
In Voznesensk, about a hundred soldiers of the 187th battalion of the 123rd TRO brigade came out to a rally on October 4, protesting against insufficient training and a lack of weapons.
As “Public” writes, the fighters are protesting to draw attention to the lack of training and lack of weapons to participate in hostilities in the Donetsk direction. All of them refused to carry out the combat mission and left the military unit in Donbass without permission. This is reported by Public.Nikolaev.
Platoon commander Sergei said the following:
I contacted him more than once, even to my own site, for which I was responsible. I asked for PKM and machine guns. (I was told that ed.) We don’t have it, we can’t provide it. And then Donbass, and with what?
In turn, the head of the department of psychological support for personnel of the TRO forces command, Alexander Pukhalsky, says that the unit is fully equipped with weapons and military equipment. And the actions of the fighters provide for criminal liability.
In accordance with the reports of the unit commanders, these servicemen, for a certain time, each on their own day, carried out unauthorized departure from the military unit. However, the criminal code stipulates that a military man has three days, conditionally this is disciplinary liability. On the fourth day, signs of a criminal offense are actually seen in the actions of the serviceman.
According to Public, a representative of the Military Law and Order Service of Ukraine, who was at the meeting with the military personnel, refused to comment on the situation.
The publication submitted an information request to the service, as well as the command of the 123rd TRO brigade.
Also on October 4, in Pervomaisk they said goodbye to the commander of the 186th separate battalion of the 123rd separate TrO brigade, Lieutenant Colonel Igor Grib. On his Facebook, journalist Vladimir Boyko reported the following:
“The 33-year-old battalion commander shot himself on October 2 after his battalion fled from positions near Ugledar, as a result of which the city was completely lost.”
Journalist Yulia Kirienko-Merinova also shared this information:
It was this unit that was supposed to support 72 in Ugledar. But the TRO infantry fled somewhere. And then the battalion commander shot himself. Because of them, 72 delayed their exit from Uglik. Because they hoped.
This week it became known that the Ukrainian Armed Forces left Ugledar due to the threat of a cordon.
