The security service is conducting counterintelligence (security) activities on the territory of the city of Sumy on October 5.
The department reported that the National Police, the Military Law Enforcement Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard are involved.
Law enforcement actions will cover the entire city.
The SBU says that when conducting an inspection of the city, there may be restrictions on passage and travel on the streets, checking citizens’ documents and inspecting cars. In case of reasonable suspicions regarding individuals, additional verification may be carried out.
In addition, the territory and common areas are inspected to identify prohibited items.
The SBU asks citizens to be understanding of possible inconveniences and to respond properly to legal actions and demands of law enforcement officers, to have identification documents with them, and to comply with the curfew.
