Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region is gradually being destroyed by Russian invaders.
In this city, about 80% of the critical infrastructure has already been damaged or destroyed as a result of Russian shelling. At the same time, Russian troops are located only 7 km from the outskirts of Pokrovsk. The head of the city military administration, Sergei Dobryak, announced this on October 4 during a national telethon.
On Thursday alone, the invaders struck the city twice – at 10.30 and at 23.00. During these attacks, the enemy dropped six guided bombs that hit the city center. Four people were injured as a result of the strikes.
The head of the MBA emphasized that the Russians are systematically destroying civilian infrastructure, leaving the city without electricity, water supply and gas.
Despite this, there are now about 13 thousand residents in Pokrovsk, including 94 children. The authorities are trying to evacuate civilians, although this is very difficult.
Dobryak emphasized that just a month and a half ago, 48 thousand people lived in Pokrovsk, including about 5 thousand 900 children.
Let us recall that in September, as a result of hostilities, the operation of the modular filtration station, thanks to which the city of Pokrovsk had recently received water, was stopped. The authorities said that it is now impossible to resume its work.
