Deputies are preparing a bill that would restore VAT on parcels from abroad valued at less than 150 euros.
In Ukraine, it is planned to remove the rule of non-payment of VAT for parcels from abroad, the value of which is less than 150 euros. The head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy, Danil Getmantsev, spoke about this at the Business and War forum.
According to him, the deputies are preparing the corresponding bill.
“When talking to business, I did not hear a different approach – the benefit of 150 euros must be removed from the preparation of the corresponding bill, we will introduce it, we will not hesitate layer of our population will be dissatisfied,” the politician said .
He noted that the absence of VAT for parcels worth up to 150 euros introduces “taxation distortions”: the Ukrainian manufacturer must pay VAT, while those producing the same goods in China do not of VAT.
“From the point of view of the state’s tax policy, this is complete nonsense, nonsense we oppress people who create additional value here, pay taxes, in favor of people we don’t know,” said Getmantsev emphasized.
He believes that the state is “very late” in such a decision.
We remind you that in January 2022, the Rada set a limit on the value of foreign parcels without paying VAT and duty at 150 euros. Since 2019 it has been at the level of 100 euros.
