The North Atlantic Alliance has begun further monitoring of Romanian airspace by deploying another long-range radar surveillance (AWACS) aircraft. informing about it European reality on Monday, September 30th.

The surveillance aircraft will “monitor Russian military activity” along the alliance’s borders and increase Romania’s ability to respond to air threats near its borders.
NATO emphasized that the flights will take place exclusively in Alliance territory and will be operated from the Preveza airbase in Greece.
Let’s remember that the previous Prime Minister of Romania, Marcel Ciolacu, denied the inaction of the authorities due to the violation of airspace by a Russian drone.
