Russian agents tracked the temporary locations and movement routes of the Ukrainian defenders and sent them to the enemy in the form of marks of military installations on Google maps with detailed descriptions and photographs.
The head of the FSB intelligence group operating in Zaporozhye received a life sentence. The court sentenced his accomplice to 15 years in prison. The group is preparing terrorist attacks against the defense forces in Zaporozhye. The SBU press service reported this on Monday, September 30.
In the spring of 2023, the attackers were preparing a series of terrorist attacks against the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and special forces of the SBU.
Russian agents tracked the temporary locations and movement routes of the Ukrainian defenders and sent them to the enemy in the form of marks of military installations on Google maps with detailed descriptions and photographs.
In this regard, the Russians planned to carry out targeted strikes using missile weapons.
The FSB is also preparing a plan for the physical extermination of Ukrainian military personnel using explosives.
SBU counterintelligence officers exposed the agents, gradually documented their crimes and detained them in a special operation in Zaporozhye in early May 2023.
The resident of the group turned out to be a 52-year-old local resident. Previously, he violently expressed his pro-Kremlin views to those around him.
His accomplice worked as a driver for the head of one of the district administrations of the regional center. Later, the resident recruited five other residents of the region to join the group.
During the searches, automatic weapons, ammunition, military grenades, and mobile phones with evidence of crimes were confiscated from the attackers.
The court found that the group’s resident and his accomplice, the officer’s driver, were guilty under Part 2 of Art. 28 and part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (high treason committed under martial law by prior conspiracy of a group of people).
The investigation into other members of the enemy cell is ongoing.
We remind you that earlier in the Donetsk region, a Russian military intelligence agent was imprisoned who spied on the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the direction of the Pokrovsky front, where heavy fighting continues.
A Russian agent who spied on Ukrainian Armed Forces convoys was detained in the Vinnytsia region
