In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the Russian occupiers are actively forcing the local population to join the army.
Since the beginning of this year, about seven thousand people from the territories temporarily occupied by the Russians have signed a contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense. The Center for National Resistance (CNS) reported this on Sunday, September 29.
“The Russian invaders are trying to maintain an active pace of attracting local residents of the occupied territories in the east and south of Ukraine into the ranks of their army,” the report said.
Moreover, enemy troops and occupation “administrations” aim to increase the rates of population mobilization in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
CNS drew attention to the fact that the “main and only” reason why people agree to join the Russian army is the high level of unemployment and the difficult financial situation in the territories now occupied by Russians.
“In second place is the Russian Federation’s aggressive disinformation campaign against Ukraine,” the Center added.
Also, the Russians are trying to “bribe” the local population in the occupied Ukrainian territories to join the RF Armed Forces, promising the right to receive certain plots of land.
