The previous meeting in the Ramstein format was held on September 6. As a result, the allies, including the United States, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Canada and Britain, provided new aid packages to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
At the Ramstein contact group meeting in October, Ukraine and its partners should “determine common measures and a common vision on how to increase pressure on Russia.” Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced this on Sunday, September 29.
“In a week and a half, in October in Ramstein, we must decide, together with other leaders, on common measures and a common vision of how to increase the pressure on Russia for this war and for the sake of a just world .” said the president.
He mentioned Russia’s fear of Ukrainian cities and emphasized that the Russian Federation is directing attacks on the country’s civilian population and infrastructure.
“It’s a daily fear in Russia that Russia uses almost a hundred guided bombs against Ukraine every day. And it’s a constant reminder to all our partners that can help that we need more coverage for in Ukraine, more air defense for Ukraine, more sanctions against the Russian Federation Today – this week, in our various negotiations with the United States, our position, our arguments were heard in detail as possible,” said the president.
We remind you that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and US President Joe Biden will meet again in October as part of the meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine at the German Ramstein airbase.
The February 2022 Ukraine Defense Contact Group secured more than $106 billion in security and defense assistance to Kyiv.
