Russia’s war against Ukraine must end with a “fair deal,” the former president of the United States stressed.
President Vladimir Zelensky and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump met on Friday, September 27, in New York. Following the negotiation, they gave a briefing.
Trump said he favors a “just” peace for Ukraine. Asked how he sees a “fair” deal to end the Russian-Ukrainian war, the politician replied: “It’s too early to talk about that.”
“I have ideas, and President Zelensky certainly has his own ideas. But he (the world – ed.) must be fair,” Trump said.
Zelensky noted that this war should never have started in the first place. The President of Ukraine emphasized that Putin is killing people, so “everything should be done to force him to stop this war, and he is on our territory.”
“How to stop the war? We need to put pressure on him (Putin – ed.) as much as possible,” said Zelensky.

Zelensky noted that the United States is the leader of support, and Ukraine highly appreciates this support.
“We are grateful to the United States, the American people, and, of course, we understand that the United States can lead any negotiations,” the Ukrainian leader said.
Zelensky also invited Trump to come to Ukraine. “It sure is a wonderful country,” replied the US presidential candidate.
We remind you that on September 26, Zelensky held negotiations with US President Joe Biden, and also met with Vice President Kamala Harris, who is the presidential candidate from the Democratic Party.
