The Russians in the temporarily occupied territories plan to assign citizens without Russian passports the status of foreign citizens or stateless persons from January 1, 2025, the Center for National Resistance (CNS) reports.
It was also noted that the website of the “migration service” of the so-called “LPR” states that adults who have not issued a Russian document are considered foreigners, but have the right to live in the temporarily occupied Lugansk region until December 31, 2024.
After this period expires (if the person has not exchanged the Ukrainian passport), the occupiers will oblige the person to register with the immigration authorities or obtain a temporary residence permit from the employment authorities.
“Now the Russians are creating a register of foreigners living in the country illegally, in which the Gauleiters threaten to include Ukrainians who refuse to get a Russian passport,” CNS added.
Earlier it became known that the Russian invaders want to “certify” the entire local population over 14 years old in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine by the end of 2024.
