The UK will supply a batch of AS90 self-propelled artillery howitzers to the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This was reported by the press service of the British Ministry of Defense on Thursday, September 26.

Previously, the government led by Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced their intention to transfer 12 AS90 to Ukraine within the first 100 days of coming to power.

Currently, 10 howitzers have been delivered to Ukraine, and in the coming weeks the Ukrainian Armed Forces will receive six more.

“Artillery plays an important role in guaranteeing coverage for Ukrainian troops and in destroying key Russian targets,” the statement said.

We remind you that Britain has announced a new aid package to Ukraine worth more than $780 million.

The day before, British Armed Forces Minister Luke Pollard said Western allies had moved most of their weapons to Ukraine, emptying their own warehouses.
