The money will be used to provide Ukrainian cities and communities with small thermal power plants, boilers, generators and solar panels.
In Germany, the Budget Committee of the Bundestag on September 25 approved an aid package to Ukraine totaling 70 million euros. The funds are intended to support the heat and electricity supply sector. DW reported it.
According to the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development, the money will be used to provide Ukrainian cities and communities with small thermal power plants, boilers, generators and solar panels.
Financial assistance is provided with a view to creating decentralized energy supply through the operation of small thermal power plants and small solar systems.
The assistance provided will help community centers, hospitals, schools and other social facilities with a more reliable and independent energy supply.
Let’s recall that German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock assured that the government will continue its policy of providing military assistance to Ukraine in a full-scale war against the Russian Federation.
As you know, in 2024, Germany allocated about 8 billion euros for arms for Ukraine. However, by 2025, the amount of military support for Kyiv from Berlin will be cut in half.
