During his performance, the comedian “joked” that he did not understand why Orthodox Christians were killing each other “when there are so many Muslims in the world.”

The head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Refat Chubarov, criticized Ukrainian stand-up comedian Anton Stenyuk’s “joke” about Muslims. He wrote this on Wednesday, September 25, on his Facebook page.

“Do not try to convince me that I allegedly did not get the content of this “joke”, which, in fact, is not here, however, there is an open attack against people on religious grounds, Chubarov commented.

In turn, Ombudsman Dmitry Lubinets asked the National Police to investigate Stenyuk’s joke about inciting religious hatred and hurting the feelings of believers. He wrote this in a commentary on Chubarov’s publication.

Earlier, the famous Ukrainian comedian Vladimir Zhoglo spoke about the mobilization. He admitted that he is often the target of haters who accuse him of performing on stage and not serving in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
