The Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “clarified” the issues of mobilizing certain categories in order to “reduce public tension.”
On September 25, the command wrote on its Facebook page that the corresponding decision, drawn up in the prescribed manner, had already been communicated to certain military units for official use.
Details of the changes have not been announced. But the military has reminded that every citizen between 18 and 60 years old can join the army voluntarily.
Earlier, People’s Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko reported on the adoption of a certain directive of the Command of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, prohibiting the conscription of those of limited fitness from 18 to 25 years of age. Conscription will be possible only with written consent.
He stated that the text of the directive is classified and therefore cannot be published, but the directive itself has already been received by regional and district TCCs.
In addition, according to a directive issued by the Ground Forces Command, men aged 50-60 can only be mobilized by a separate mobilization order. The directive only specifies the mobilization of men aged 25 to 49.
