The Israel Defense Forces attacked Hezbollah military targets in southern Lebanon, destroying thousands of weapons that the terrorists planned to use in attacks on Israeli territory. IDF Speaker Daniel Hagari announced this on Saturday, September 21.
Israeli forces carried out the latest strikes after fighter jets attacked around 180 targets in southern Lebanon on Saturday, destroying numerous missile launchers prepared for attacks on Israel.
“Today we hit approximately 400 Hezbollah launch sites, including thousands of rocket launchers,” the statement said.
Authorities have imposed new restrictions on residents of Haifa and northern Israel as the country prepares for a possible large-scale offensive by Lebanese militants that could happen soon after heavy shooting in recent days.
Hagari also said that about 100 rockets were fired from Lebanon towards northern Israel on Saturday.
In turn, Hezbollah announced a missile attack on Israel’s Air Force Ramat David airbase in response to attacks in several regions of Lebanon.
