In Donetsk region, the liquidation of a large forest fire in the Limansky district continues for the fourth day.

    .

The State Emergency Service press service reported this today, September 18.

Due to strong gusts of wind and prolonged drought, the fire quickly spread over a large area. Emergency workers continue to work to completely extinguish the fire and prevent a re-ignition, the report says.

It is noted that as of today, an area of about 550 hectares has already been burned. There is no threat of direct spread of the flames to populated areas.

111 rescuers and 26 units of equipment from the State Emergency Service of Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kirovograd and Vinnytsia regions were involved in extinguishing the fire, the department added.
