A new resolution on renaming populated areas as part of de-Russification will be submitted to the Rada.
The head of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, announced this at a briefing.
Five problematic settlements will be removed from the new resolution. We are talking about Yuzhnoye, Yuzhnoukrainsk, Sinelnykove, Pervomaysk and Pavlograd.
According to Stefanchuk, the parliament will hold separate discussions on renaming these settlements, and then two separate draft resolutions will be registered.
Earlier, on September 18, the Rada rejected a resolution to rename 333 settlements and districts of Ukraine as part of de-Russification.
Therefore, the deputies blocked the rostrum. Subsequently, the people’s deputies went to a conciliation council to discuss resubmitting the resolution for consideration.
