Usik’s detention in Krakow: the Consul General of Ukraine went to the airport

The absolute world super heavyweight champion, Ukrainian Alexander Usik, was detained at the airport in Poland.

The Consul General of Ukraine in Krakow, Poland went to the airport to find out the circumstances surrounding the detention of boxer Alexander Usik. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported this on Tuesday, September 17.

“The Ukrainian side definitely does not accept the attitude towards its citizen and champion shown in the video,” the message said.

Also, Foreign Minister Sibiga ordered the Consul General to express his opposition and anger at this attitude.

The wife of the imprisoned Usik said that everything is fine with him. According to him, nothing bad happened, and the boxer will soon clear himself.
