The current US president told reporters before the conversation that he would talk about the Secret Service, which is responsible for protecting top politicians.
I think Congress needs to respond to their needs if they really need more people in the service. So that’s what we’re going to talk about,” Biden said.
The White House called the conversation between the current and former presidents “cordial” and said Biden “expressed his relief that Trump is safe.”
Trump himself commented on the conversation with Biden as follows:
