The country’s Ministry of Defense made a statement after several consecutive incidents of Russian drones violating NATO airspace.
Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans called on NATO to provide a clear response to the violation of the Alliance countries’ airspace by Russian drones. He announced this at Platform X on Monday, September 16th.
The minister emphasized that Russia’s violation of NATO airspace is “unacceptable and dangerous.”
“Our response has to be very specific. Drones and missiles entering our airspace have to be detected and intercepted. And if absolutely necessary, NATO has to provide support to each member of the Alliance individually ,” he added.
