HYBE accused of distorting BTS’ Jungkook’s words in support of NewJeans

After Jungkook supported NewJeans, a South Korean news portal accused HYBE of distorting the BTS member’s words.

Last weekend, through her Instagram account dedicated to her dog, Bam (@bowwow_bam), Jungkooka member of BTS, made two posts supporting the members of NewJeans due to the conflict involving the girl group and the companies ADOR and HYBE.

In the first post, the star included five hearts in the caption, with the colors representing Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyeinin addition to the caption “Artists are not to blame”. While in the second publication, the idol wrote “Don’t use them”. Check it out!

After fans speculated about the artist’s true intention with the posts, HYBE confirmed that Jungkook made the publications referring to NewJeans, where he said in a note (via Soompi):

“We confirm that he made the posts because he felt that under no circumstances should young artists be dragged into conflicts or used as a shield.”

Now, a new report published by the South Korean portal Yonhap News TV (via Koreaboo) raised the hypothesis that the company may have altered the singer’s speech, since it would not have proven when the BTS member used the word “shield”, pointing out that, supposedly, the agency would be manipulating the artist’s message to send an indirect message to Min Hee Jinformer CEO of ADOR.

After the publication, many fans also began to accuse the company of “shoving words in people’s mouths”. Jungkookon different social media pages. So far, neither party has commented on the matter.
