In the Volyn region, a law enforcement official was reportedly suspected of helping more than 30 men leave Ukraine illegally. The press service of the State Bureau of Investigation reported this on Friday, September 13.
SBI officials reported suspicion of a female law enforcement officer from Volyn who helped a criminal group transport military-age men to Poland. Entrepreneurs are looking for “clients” on social networks, and the cost of services is $3,500.
The men were taken to the border checkpoint in Volyn. Subsequently, the official did not enter information about them in the automatic system for the exchange of information on the control of people crossing the state border.
According to investigators, more than 30 people have been brought to Poland under this scheme since 2022.
Law enforcement officials were informed of the suspicion of illegal smuggling of people across the state border through a prior conspiracy by a group of people.
The issue of choosing a preventive measure and removal from office is decided. The investigation is ongoing and the full range of people involved are being identified.
