In the Dnieper direction, the Russians have sharply increased the number of assaults.
As of 16:00 on Thursday, September 12, there were two enemy assaults. And on September 11, the enemy tried to advance seven times. And in total, there were about 60 attacks over the past week. Compared to the previous period of relative calm, a sharp escalation is now being recorded. This was stated by the speaker of the OSUV “Tavria” Dmitry Likhovoy on the air of the telethon.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces still hold bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnieper – this is the village of Krynki and about seven other locations.
However, the occupiers are making significant efforts to occupy the grey zone on the islands, or the river mouth. In these areas, the fighting is somewhat complicated by the logistical needs of boats and jet skis.
According to Likhovy, a large number of Russian watercraft are destroyed every day. The enemy suffers great losses.
Let us recall that on September 10, the Tavria Joint Forces Command stated that Russian occupiers had significantly increased the number of assaults and shellings in southern Ukraine. The Russians began to put most pressure on the positions of the Defense Forces on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region.
