On the night of today, September 12, Russian invaders attacked the civilian infrastructure of the city of Konotop in the Sumy region.
As a result, 13 people were injured, including a minor. One person is in serious condition. This was reported by the press service of the National Police.
In addition, the following were damaged:
- seven apartment buildings;
- one residential building;
- hospital;
- educational institution;
- cars and garage;
- shop.
Specialized services are working at the scene, and the victims are receiving the necessary assistance.
A case of violation of the laws and customs of war has been opened under Article 438 of the Criminal Code.
The press service of the Sumy OVA reports that the Konotop community was attacked at night by “Shahed” type attack drones.
The city’s mayor, Artem Semenikhin, noted in his Telegram channel that the situation with electricity supply in Konotop is “simply critical” – the energy infrastructure has suffered significant damage.
When electricity will appear in the homes of residents at least hourly – no one will try to predict, – he noted. – Water will be supplied hourly, the exact water supply schedule will be made public in the morning.
According to him, a large number of educational and medical institutions were damaged (mostly windows were broken). Also, a section of the tram line in the city center was destroyed, the movement of trams will be limited only to route No. 3.
