The scope of creation of paid content on the OnlyFans Internet platform by citizens of Ukraine is growing rapidly.
The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Finance, Tax and Customs Policy Daniil Getmantsev called on Ukrainians who earn money from OnlyFans to fulfill their tax obligation – to declare income and pay taxes. He wrote about it on Wednesday, September 11, in Telegram.
He said that the number of accounts in Ukraine increases on average three times annually.
“For example, citizen “C” received more than $4 million for creating paid content on the OnlyFans Internet platform for several years Also, citizen “K” received more than $3 million from this activity, and received the citizen “B” about 1.8 million dollars,” said Getmantsev.
He added that foreign income must be declared in Ukraine within the period established by law, paying taxes here.
“Failure to submit a tax return within the deadline set by law is the basis for additional tax assessment on the amount of income received at the rate of 18% and military duty at the rate of 1.5%, as well as 25% sanctions,” Getmantsev stressed.
In July, the Cabinet of Ministers approved changes to the state budget, proposing to increase its spending by UAH 500.3 billion, of which UAH 495.3 billion will be allocated to the needs of the security and defense sector. It was planned that the funds would be raised through increased taxes and increased borrowing in the form of government bonds.
The Finance Ministry also said that a tax hike is inevitable, as all other sources of increased funding for the defense sector have been exhausted.
