An electronic prescription for these drugs will allow you to track the movement of cannabis-based medical drugs from the doctor’s prescription to dispensing at the pharmacy.

In Ukraine, the first electronic permit system for medical cannabis in Europe will start operating in October, which will allow tracking the path of medical cannabis from the collected seeds to receiving the dosage form. Health Minister Viktor Lyashko said this at the eHealth Summit, Ukrinform reports.

“When we talk about the system of electronic permits for medical cannabis, it is about having patients with those drugs that they urgently need for oncology, mental disorders, etc. Knows all what is a stigma about innovative drugs “, it is precisely because of this stigma that some revolutionary legislative decisions are prescribed Starting from October, we will have a system that will show full monitoring from the seeds ( medical cannabis – ed.) to medicine, the medicinal form of medical cannabis. ” said Lyashko.

According to him, currently no country in Europe has a similar system.

An electronic prescription for these products will allow you to track the movement of cannabis-based medicines from the doctor’s prescription to dispensing at a pharmacy.

Lyashko also said that in the next three to six months, additional innovations in the electronic permit system will be introduced in Ukraine.

“These are auxiliary methods of rehabilitation, electronic appointment This system is connected to the system of the Ministry of Social Policy, and people, who received an appointment, according to a clear process, will receive a choice that will help to them to be included in society,” said the minister.

He added that the next solution is electronic medical records of inpatient medical care and laboratory results. Treatment orders will be launched in inpatient medical records so that doctors of different specialties can simultaneously maintain the necessary records about the patient, which will allow the collection of treatment information in one place .

There will also be a rollout of medical examination reports required for families wishing to adopt a child. Such a medical report will be generated automatically based on the tests and will eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy in the adoption process.

In addition, electronic medical examinations for obtaining a driver’s license will be introduced.

“We stop selling medical certificates for obtaining a driver’s license and introduce this process to an electronic mechanism, where you can see who made it for whom,” said Lyashko.

They will also introduce electronic permits for drugs – new e-Stock models that will allow you to track the path of each medical product from purchase to distribution and track those drugs purchased at the expense of state.

Other digital solutions in the health care system include an electronic queue for endoprosthetics, a rating distribution for internships, a system for notification of information about cosmetic products, a register of additives in food, a new state register of medicines, a public health information system, a new register of licenses for medical practice, as well as an electronic patient’s office, which can be used both in the medical information system and in Dii.

Let’s remember that in January of this year the Verkhovna Rada canceled the signing of the bill No. 7457, which legalized medical cannabis in Ukraine. On February 15, it was signed by President Vladimir Zelensky.
