In Kharkov, police detained a woman for organizing the murder of her ex-husband.
The police simulated the murder of the victim and detained the customer.
The police received information that the 55-year-old Kharkiv resident wanted to kill her ex-husband from the “killer” himself. The man had recently been released from prison and had no intention of returning there again.
The woman first offered to beat her ex severely for $100. Allegedly, because of this, he would be forced to give up his claims to the property, – said the head of the investigative department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kharkiv region, Sergei Bolvinov. – We documented their meetings during covert investigative search actions, conducted audio and video monitoring. At subsequent meetings, the woman handed over a copy of her passport, personally wrote down the address of her ex, and also offered to kill him with a knife.
For the murder of her ex-husband, the suspect promised to re-register one of her apartments to the perpetrator of the crime. The message “let’s get acquainted” was a code phrase about the execution of the order.
Bolvinov said that the police contacted the victim and told him that an attempt was being made on his life. The man began to cooperate with law enforcement. Specialists and experts were involved in simulating the crime. Photos and videos of the simulated murder were taken. And finally, the customer received the expected code message from the “killer”.
Law enforcement officers detained the woman under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. For committing the crime, the suspect faces up to 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.
