The water that gets into the pump rooms comes from artesian wells located at great depths, so the water does not get there from the river, said Deputy Chairman of the State Water Agency Igor Gopchak.
It is extremely difficult for any pollution to get there, let alone from the river.
The river valleys are fed by water from the catchment area, that is, all the water that moves in the soil from the catchment area goes to the river, and not the river feeds the catchment area, Gopchak explained.
Thus, even if the promises of Kievvodokanal are not fulfilled and the water arrives so polluted that the company cannot clean it, it will be possible to drink the water collected from the pump rooms.
