The event starts at 10:00 local time, at 20:00 Kyiv time. Traditionally, Apple presents its September presentations on a Tuesday or Wednesday, and the last time it had a presentation on a Monday was in 2010, when Steve Jobs announced the iPhone 4.
It should also be noted that September 9 marks the 10th anniversary of the presentation of the first Apple Watch.
We can say with 100% probability that the premiere of new iPhones awaits us. It is already known that the main upgrade this year is a change in the screen diagonal of the Pro models. The iPhone 16 Pro is credited with a 6.3-inch screen, while the 16 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch screen. Even with the firmware, they will noticeably upgrade the camera: along with a wide-angle 48-megapixel lens, they will get an ultra-wide lens with the same resolution.
In addition, a completely new Capture Button will appear on the iPhone 16 Pro body, designed exclusively for taking photos and videos, and finally the charging speed will increase from 27 to 40 W. In general , if you haven’t upgraded from iPhone 12/13 Pro, then the upgrade will be noticeable.
The same cannot be said about the base iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. It will be a small upgrade with a return to a vertical camera block and the appearance of an Action Button from the iPhone 15 Pro. The frame rate will remain the same – 60 Hz. Obviously, Apple will attract potential buyers with the presence of Apple Intelligence AI functionality, which will not fully work on the iPhone 15 and older iPhones.
Apple will also present new watches and several models at the same time. The Apple Watch Series will be ten years old this year. And, apparently, the Cupertino team is preparing a big upgrade. The budget Apple Watch SE has not yet been updated, which will be cheaper.
Apple will also announce release dates for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS 15, watchOS 11 and tvOS 18.
