More than 1.5 billion hryvnias will be allocated from the state budget for telethon and foreign broadcasting in Ukraine in 2024.
Nikolai Tochitsky, whose appointment to the post of Minister of Culture was supported by the Verkhovna Rada, believes that the national telethon United News will continue. On Thursday, September 5, he said this as a candidate for the position at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy.
“About the marathon: it is, is and will be, you just need to find a form to have public interest. There is a large number of people watching it, and it is just as important: to convey in one voice what is happening around ,” said Tochitsky.
He added that if there were “questions” about what exactly he didn’t like about the telethon, he was willing to talk to the committee about this topic.
At the same time, the parliament noted that according to recent polls, trust in the telethon has decreased.
We remind you that the Parliament supports the appointment of Nikolai Tochitsky to the post of Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications. 252 representatives of the people voted in favor.
