The operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine forced the Russians to move thousands of their military to the Kursk region, the general said.
Ukraine, with the help of an operation in the Kursk region, wants to prevent a new Russian offensive. Such actions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine helped protect the population of the Sumy region. This is what the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky said in an interview with CNN.
Generally speaking, the main operations in the Kursk region are as follows:

Syrsky also recalled that the operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces forced the Russians to move thousands of their troops to the Kursk region. Among them are fighters from the best airborne units in the Russian Federation.
We remind you that since the beginning of August, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been conducting an operation in the Kursk region of Russia. Currently, 1,300 square kilometers and 100 settlements are controlled. About 600 Russian soldiers were captured.
