Moldovans transported Ukrainian men from the Transnistrian region to Chisinau for $2,000.
Two men have been jailed in Moldova for helping Ukrainian men cross the border illegally. NewsMaker reported this on Thursday, September 5th.
Employees of the Prosecutor’s Office for Combating Organized Crime and Special Cases informed about the detention of two taxi drivers from the Moldovan cities of Rezina and Rybnitsa.
Over the course of a year, detainees brought Ukrainian men from the Transnistrian region to Chisinau, receiving $2,000 for their services.
As a result of searching the suspects’ homes and vehicles, law enforcement officers recovered cell phones and other evidence of illegal activity.
