Large-scale forest fires continue to rage in three Ukrainian regions.
In particular, as a result of fires in the Kyiv region, no increase in air pollution is recorded. In the Brovarsky district, peat is burning in several places. The area of the fire there is about 15 hectares, and 8 hectares have already been extinguished. The State Emergency Service reported this on September 4 in Telegram.
Rescuers also localized a fire in the exclusion zone on an area of more than 420 hectares. The fight against the fire continues, but the radiation background is normal.
In Donetsk Oblast, rescuers have been trying to extinguish a forest fire caused by an airstrike for four days. The fire has spread over about 5,000 hectares and damaged buildings on the territory of 46 households and eight cars. Three people have been evacuated from the danger zone.
In the Kharkiv region, a fire swept over 1.5 thousand hectares in a forestry area near the village of Studenok. Two people, including a rescuer, were injured during the firefighting. The flames destroyed buildings in 236 households.
Let us recall that recently in the Kharkiv region in the Oskol territorial community of the Izyum district a large-scale fire broke out – forest plantations on an area of about 1 thousand 200 hectares caught fire. The fire spread to the village of Studenok, from where more than 200 people had to be evacuated.
