Parliament was given a list of eight candidates proposed to be elected heads of ministries.
The Prime Minister and the Servant of the People factions sent a proposal to the Verkhovna Rada to appoint several new ministers. This was announced on the evening of Wednesday, August 4, by the permanent representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk.
He named eight candidates for various government positions to be considered by the Verkhovna Rada.
It was proposed to appoint Olga Stefanishyna as Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Ukraine and Minister of Justice.
Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, Minister of Development of Communities and Territories – Alexey Kuleba.
Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food – Vitaly Koval.
Minister of Youth and Sports – Matvey Bedny.
Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources – Svetlana Grinchuk.
Minister of Veterans Affairs – Natalya Kalmykova.
Minister for Strategic Industries – German Smetanin.
Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications – Nikolai Tochitsky.
As reported, on Wednesday the Verkhovna Rada considered the proposal of the Cabinet of Ministers for the resignation of a number of ministers. In particular, the representatives supported the dismissal of Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Olga Stefanishina, Minister for Strategic Industries Alexander Kamyshin, Head of the Ministry of Natural Resources Ruslan Strelets, and Minister of Justice Denis Maluska. Also, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba wrote a letter of resignation, but consideration of this issue was postponed.
