BTS’ Jimin Becomes First K-Pop Soloist to Have Two Albums Surpass 1 Billion Streams

Jimin has reached the 1 billion streams mark on Spotify with his two solo albums, making the idol the first K-pop soloist to achieve the feat.

This Wednesday, 4th,JiminBTS’s ‘MUSE’ album has reached the 1 billion stream mark on Spotify. The album was released last July, making the idol break the record just 47 days after the debut of the six tracks.

The same thing happened in 2023, with the release of ‘FACE’, his debut album, which reached the 1 billion streams mark between last year and this year. Both achievements made Jimin the first soloist in K-pop history to achieve the feat, in addition to the title track “Who” spending six consecutive weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and accumulating more than 40 million views on YouTube.

Currently, both Jimin like the other members of BTS, are fulfilling their mandatory military service in South Korea, which resulted in a period of hiatus in group activities among the idols. So far, only Jin was released from his obligations, but the group is expected to meet in its full formation only in 2025, when everyone is released from the army.
