The IAEA mission visited the Zaporozhye NPP, where its representatives inspected the burned cooling tower. This was stated in a message on the X-account of the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi.
He noted that two years have passed since the IAEA established a permanent presence at the Zaporozhye NPP.
“During my fifth visit to the site, IAEA experts and I assessed the situation following the cooling tower fire on August 11 and the ongoing work on the water pumps and fuel storage. It is important that the Agency continues its work, Grossi said.
