Russian aviation attacked a peaceful settlement in the Sumy region.
On Wednesday, September 4, at about 12:00, the enemy dropped an aerial bomb on civilian infrastructure in the village of Yampol, Shostka district. The enemy used methods of warfare prohibited by international law against civilians. The Sumy Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported this on Facebook.
The bombing injured two civilian men, aged 36 and 62, and women, aged 56 and 72. The Russian attack damaged private homes and government buildings.
Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the consequences of the shelling. A pre-trial investigation is underway into the violation of the laws and customs of war – Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The materials of the criminal proceedings will subsequently be transferred to the SBU.
Let us recall that on September 2, the Russian army launched continuous strikes on the city of Kupyansk in the Kharkiv region. As a result of the shelling, a residential building was completely destroyed, from under the rubble of which the body of a deceased woman born in 1946 was extracted.
