The meeting of the parliamentary faction “Servant of the People” was held on September 4.
The meeting discussed personnel changes in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky attended the event. MPs and the head of state agreed on new candidates for ministerial positions. The head of the Servant of the People faction, David Arakhamia, reported this on Telegram.
The new Minister of Foreign Affairs will be Andriy Sybiha, the current deputy of Dmytro Kuleba. The Ministry of Regional Development will be headed by Oleksiy Kuleba. However, the department will subsequently be divided into the areas of infrastructure and regional policy. Olga Stefanishyna will head the Ministry of Justice.
What other decisions were made at the meeting:
- Natalia Kalmykova will head the Ministry of Veterans.
- Ministry of Culture and Information Policy Nikolai Tochitsky.
- Ministry of Agrarian Policy – Vitaly Koval.
- Ministry of Youth and Sports – Matvey Bedny.
- Ministry of Ecology – Svetlana Grinchuk.
- Ministry of Strategic Industry – German Smetanin. Alexander Kamyshin moves to the presidential office, where he will continue to deal with the issue of armament and infrastructure.
Irina Vereshchuk will work in the Office of the President and will hold the position of the relevant deputy head of the OP.
The factions also discussed the new “Ministry of Return of Ukrainians”. They are currently looking for candidates for the position of this department.
Let us recall that on September 4, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the dismissal of the Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Oleksandr Kamyshin, the Vice Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olha Stefanishyna, the Minister for Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine Ruslan Strelets, and the Minister of Justice Denis.
However, the people’s deputies did not have enough votes to dismiss Iryna Vereshchuk from the post of Vice Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration and Vitaliy Koval from the post of head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine. And the dismissal of Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba was not considered at the meeting.
