Widodo stressed that peace issues are a priority for the foreign policy of the Asian country, so it was these ambitions that prompted him to move to Kyiv and Moscow to promote a peaceful settlement and promote mutual understanding.
G20 summit
One of the highlights of the news regarding Indonesia is its presidency of the next G20 summit, a meeting to which Widodo invited both Putin and Zelensky, although the presence of both is still unknown.
Although the invitation was initially accepted from Moscow, now Peskov himself has made it clear that the assistance of the Russian president is being appreciated or, conversely, a delegation is being sent on his behalf.
“The president can go himself, or he can delegate someone. There is still time, Russia is participating in the work of the G20. We will make a decision that best suits our interests,” Peskov said, the TASS news agency reported.
That same week, Zelensky also mentioned his presence at the meeting and assured that it would depend both on the security situation in his country and on the leaders who will attend the November summit in Indonesia.
Some international leaders, such as the British Prime Minister, Boris Johnsonasked not to block or harm the development of the summit, except for the representatives of each country who are present at it.
