Ukraine has won another gold medal at the 2024 Paralympic Games.
On Sunday, September 1, Mikhail Serbin won his third gold medal in the competition. He was the best in the 100m backstroke (class S11). In the final, Serbin swam with a time of 1:05.84 minutes, breaking his own world record by 0.17 seconds. This was reported by Obshchestvennoe.Sport.
Overall, Ukraine has a double podium in this final. Daniil Chufarov won bronze.
On the fourth day of competition at the 2024 Paralympics in Ukraine, there are already only 25 medals – three gold, 10 silver and 12 bronze. Ukraine took 10th place in the medal standings of the Paralympic Games.
Let us recall that on September 1, Ukraine won its first gold medal at the 2024 Paralympic Games in athletics. In the T12 class long jump competition (athletes with visual impairments), 43-year-old Oksana Zubkovska triumphed, having broken her personal record today.
Zubkovskaya also won long jump gold medals at the previous four Paralympics.
