In Kamchatka, 22 people died in a Mi-8 helicopter crash

Rescuers have discovered a Mi-8 helicopter that crashed in Kamchatka the previous day with 22 people on board. No one survived the ship, Russian media reported, citing the headquarters for eliminating the consequences of the disaster on Sunday, September 1.

“First, after the helicopter crash, all the crew and passengers died, there were no survivors,” the headquarters said.

The helicopter crashed after crashing into a hill at a height of about 900 meters. The initial cause of the accident was pilot error, likely due to fog.

Rescuers have discovered the bodies of 17 victims. The search continues.

The day before it became known that a Russian Mi-8 helicopter disappeared in Kamchatka during the flight from a site in the Vachkazhets volcanic area to the Nikolaevka site. There were 19 passengers and three crew members on board.
